This is for all the new moms with newborns (especially those with a fussy baby). I promise it gets better!!!
Memories of a fussy baby
I remember the day that I went to my 6 week post postpartum appointment. Crazy how it was over 2 years ago – time flies. That morning, It was impossible to get out of the house. I had to pull over twice on the way since my newborn was screaming in the car. Just as she finally fell asleep, she woke up the second the car was turned off….cue screaming again. As I rushed into the Dr.’s office with my crying baby, the tears started flowing on my end as well. My doctor couldn’t have been more empathetic and passed the Kleenex while her amazing staff held my daughter for the entire checkup (while I pulled it together enough to make jokes during the “down-there” part).
That time was the low
6 weeks was our peak. Even though that stage is all a blur and the fussiness lasted a couple more weeks, it did slowly but surely did get better!
So to all the moms that are overwhelmed, exhausted and consumed with getting their child to sleep – I’ve been where you are, so hang in there, Mama! #BTDT
